GMB Eurotec Branch began as a single workplace branch representing members who worked at the then Hull Corporation Telephone Department (Later to become Kingston Communications). From around 1998, the branch began to take members from other employers and the focus of the branch changed. The branch currently has members from over 75 employers.
In 2013 the branch separated out Kingston Communications (KC), Health & Social Care Companies (H&SC) and Others. This enabled the branch to look at membership demands and provide appropriate advice and expertise for members.
At the present time the Branch has 865 members.
The Branch Secretary is Robin Groom and the Branch President is Helen Johnson, both who are GMB Accompanying Representatives (can represent members in any workplace). Along wth Robin and Helen, the Branch is made up of the following officials:
Roxanne Rose – GMB Accompanying Representative & Auditor
Dawn Prest – Auditor
Lee Delves – GMB Staff Side Representative
Toni Yel – GMB Accompanying Representative
We provide advice, support and representation as well as organising campaigns and negotiating to improve and protect our members pay and terms and conditions of employment.
